🎧 Episode #14 | On Ramps to Investing with Kyla Scanlon
Listen on Apple, Spotify, Pocket Casts, and YouTube
Kyla Scanlon is a content creator and Program Partner at On Deck Investing.
If you’ve spent any time on Twitter or TikTok recently it’s likely you’ve come across Kyla’s content. Covering everything from the debacle at the Suez canal to lumber shortages and meme stocks, Kyla’s viral videos have struck a chord with people interested in following markets and investing, but uninterested in dry analysis from legacy outlets.
Kyla has a radical idea that informs everything she does both at the On Deck Investing fellowship and with her content creation: she believes markets should be fun. This ultimately ties back to Kyla’s passion for getting more people involved with, and educated about, markets and investing.
Also available to listen on Spotify, Pocket Casts, and YouTube

RSVP: Attend our Live Recordings 🔴
We’re excited for these live recording sessions because, unlike with regular podcasts, attendees will get to ask our guests questions. Some of the questions will even be immortalized by inclusion in the published podcast episode. Don’t miss the chance to participate. We look forward to having you join us!
August 6th — Jack Carlson, founder of Rowing Blazers
We’re delighted to be hosting Jack Carlson, founder of Rowing Blazers, for a live podcast recording on August 6th at 11am ET/8am PT.
Rowing Blazers is one of the most successful new US-based fashion brands; a fascinating fusion between prep and streetwear that is taking the world by storm. We’re sitting down with Jack to do a deep dive into fashion, building iconic brands from scratch, and much more.
August 16th — Delian Asparouhov, co-founder of Varda Space Industries
We’re delighted to be hosting Delian Asparouhov, co-founder of Varda Space Industries, for a live podcast recording on August 16th at 10:30am ET/7:30am PT.
We’re going to break new ground for The Deep End — launching into the topic of outer space for the first time. Delian’s company is building space factories to manufacture items for use back here on earth. They recently announced their series A led by Khosla Ventures and Caffeinated Capital, with participation from existing investors Lux Capital, General Catalyst and Founders Fund.
Notes from the On Deck universe:
In the spirit of building in public, we released our series A memo that was used to raise from Founders Fund and hundreds of other notable operators earlier this year.
We’re hiring an intern (paid, of course) to help us grow The Deep End. Referrals always appreciated! Please forward this email or the tweet to any ambitious folks who might be a fit.
